AMR and Las Vegas: 60 Years of Success

Since 1953, American Medical Response (AMR) has been a critical part of Las Vegas emergency response. With more than 450 team members, AMR responds to a call in Las Vegas every 5.17 minutes, 365 days a year.

AMR’s training facility, the Las Vegas Academy for Prehospital Care (LVAPEC) is one of two training centers for advanced EMT and paramedic training in the region. AMR instructors prepare not only AMR employees, but also students from the City of Las Vegas Fire and Rescue, Clark County Fire Department, Las Vegas Metro Police, and North Las Vegas and Henderson Fire to better serve the community through advanced training and technology.
