AMR West Michigan provides emergency and non-emergency medical transport service for the Kent, Ottawa and Allegan Counties area in Michigan. AMR West Michigan employs approximately 177 paramedics and EMTs and handles an average of 60,000 ambulance calls and 22,000 wheelchair requests annually.
AMR West Michigan provides special events coverage to DeVos Place, Van Andel Arena, Hope College, the Tulip Time Festival in Holland, the 5th/3rd River Bank Run and various other local events. The operation also provides tactical emergency medical services to the City of Grand Rapids Police Department, the Kent County Sherriff’s Department, the Wyoming Police Department, the Kentwood Police Department and the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department.
AMR West Michigan also is an American Heart Association Certified Training Center and offers CPR, ACLS, ITLS and PALS training to the local community. If you are interested in training, please contact the operation for more information.
