GREENWOOD VILLAGE, CO, February 14, 2003 – The Three Rivers Ambulance Authority (TRAA) in Ft. Wayne, IN, has awarded a new five-year contract to American Medical Response (AMR).

AMR won the bid process after the TRAA's selection committee made a unanimous recommendation that the company once again be contracted with to provide 911 and non-emergency ambulance service to the community. AMR has been the ambulance service provider in Ft. Wayne for more than 18 years, but was challenged for the new contract by a joint bid by the local fire department and another private company.

In the bid recommendation, AMR was noted for its clinical excellence, superior ambulance fleet and maintenance program, state-of-the-art equipment, and for its unsurpassed response time record. AMR has met or exceeded monthly response time standards in Ft. Wayne for 222 months in a row, or 18.5 years.

The new contract will take effect in June 2003.
