TOYS FOR TOTS FIRST-AND-GOAL FOOTBALL
TOURNAMENT
Paramedics, Police, Firefighters and Marines
to Play Ball for Kids
Denver, CO, -- NOV.
19, 2003 — American Medical Response (AMR) has
partnered together with the Boulder Fire Department, Police
Department and the United States Marines to host a football
tournament where they will collect toys for underprivileged
children.
The “Toys for Tots First-and-Goal Football
Tournament” will be held on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2003,
at North Boulder Park, at 9th and Balsam Street, behind the
Boulder Community Hospital in Boulder, CO.
The event will kick off at 11:00 a.m. with
paramedics and U.S. Marines challenging police and firefighters
to a harrowing flag football tournament. Among the gridiron
participants: American Medical Response, U.S. Marine Corps
Reserve, Boulder Police Offices Association, Boulder Firefighters
Local 900, Lyons Fire Protection District and St. Vrain Rapid
Intervention Team. The event is a double elimination tournament.
The Championship game will start at 1:30 p.m.
Boulder and front-range residents are encouraged
to come and root for their community emergency first responders
in the charity tournament and to support the Toys for Tots
program by bringing a new, unwrapped toy to the event.
