Wichita Falls Wins Highest Honor from
Texas Department of Health
WEDNESDAY, November
26, 2003 — Wichita Falls, TX
During the Awards Dinner Hosted by the Texas Department
of Health yesterday, ambulance service provider American Medical
Response of Wichita Falls received the honor of being named
Private Provider of the Year in the State of Texas.
Kathy Perkins, Chief of the Bureau of Emergency
Management for Texas, and her personnel praised the efforts
of AMR during the presentation. AMR received the honor due
to their efforts in public education, community involvement,
patient care, quality assurance, medical control, public access,
education and training as well as disaster preparedness.
Letters of support for American Medical Response-Wichita
Falls were sent to TDH by the County judge, city managers
from Wichita Falls, Iowa Park and Burkburnett and the emergency
room director from United Regional Hospital.

caregiver inspired,” says Operations Director, Charles
Grady. “We are thankful for the support of our company
which has afforded us the opportunity to be involved in this
area,” he says. “This award truly goes to our
employees who work so hard to be responsive to others.”
