AMR Announces Grand Opening of Boulder Operation
Boulder , CO , March 10, 2004 – In an effort to better serve the residents of Boulder County , American Medical Response (AMR) announces the Grand Opening of its new operation. The facility located at 3800 Pearl Street will provide non-emergency ambulance service for the hospitals and nursing homes in Boulder County . AMR has been serving the Boulder area for the last year from its operation in Denver , Colorado .
A ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at the operation on Friday, March 12, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. Jim Webber, Boulder Operations Manager, will speak about AMR's commitment to the community and present awards to employees and community leaders that assisted in the opening of the new operation.
"We look forward to supporting the hospitals, nursing facilities, and their patients with the highest level of advanced life support service," said Webber. "We also intend to be a strong community partner by offering low-cost CPR and first-aid training to the public and supporting local non-profit organizations."
AMR brings over 25 years of experience in the ambulance industry to this community. In 2003, AMR received the highest level of accreditation for ambulance service, Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Service (CAAS). Only 80 out of 17,000 ambulance services in the United States hold this Gold Standard of Excellence.
Although AMR is not the licensed provider of the 9-1-1 service for Boulder County, it iis AMR's intention to participate in the request for proposal (RFP) process for the contract later this year.
