SENATOR BOXER'S STAFF TO SEE EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES UP CLOSE

ALAMEDA,CA, November 10, 2004–

On Wednesday, November 10, Jennifer Tang from the office of Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA) will spend a day with caregivers from American Medical Response.

Currently, ambulance service providers are coping with severe cuts in Medicare reimbursement. Additionally, Medicare Fee Schedule reimbursement is 27 percent below the national average cost of providing the essential health care services.
