Mark Corley, Abbott EMS General Manager stated, “This is not the first time Abbott EMS has received the Patriot Award. We consider it a great honor to be recognized but a greater honor still to be able to assist our deployed coworkers and welcome them back once their service is complete.” He added, “Jennifer Buckner takes a personal as well as professional interest in her deployed coworkers and I am pleased that her work on their behalf has been recognized.”
Buckner accepted the Patriot Award on Monday, October 20, 2014. Presenting the award was Mr. Bob Schure on behalf of Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, a Department of Defense office that works to promote cooperation and understanding between Reserve Component Service members and their civilian employers
