AMR joins the NASCAR Salutes campaign to honor active military, veterans and their families.
(Dallas, TX) — Each year, NASCAR honors United States Armed Forces heroes and their families as part of NASCAR Salutes. American Medical Response (AMR) is partnering with NASCAR to honor these heroes. As part of the Salutes events, AMR is displaying the Salutes branding on NASCAR safety trucks and safety team helmets.
“We are honored to partner with the NASCAR Salutes program as they pay tribute to military heroes and their families,” said Edward Van Horne, AMR President and CEO. “We are proud to employ military veterans nationwide because we see firsthand the positive impact they have on our local communities after transitioning from the military. We recognize the leadership, training, character and discipline that our veterans and members of the National Guard and Reserve bring to our company and the American workforce.”
Tito Villanueva, AMR Kauai Operations Manager, started his career in the military and transitioned to working for AMR. In his four-year military career, Tito served as a medic in Honduras and the Phillipines providing physical exams, distributing medication and working with hospital staff to deliver patient care. When Tito transitioned from a military career to AMR, he found that he was able to use his military skills to care for patients in a different capacity. Through AMR, Tito has also been provided opportunities he never thought would be possible. To read about Tito and other stories of our veteran and military personnel, visit our

AMR is the official Emergency Medical Services partner for NASCAR and will continue supporting NASCAR Salutes through the conclusion of the campaign at the Daytona International Speedway on July 7. To read about stories of our veteran and military personnel, visit military.amr.net.
