Mayor Byron Brown encourages negotiations. Buffalo Emergency Medical Service continues without disruption.
(Buffalo, NY) — During a final week of contract discussions, AMR Western New York has reached an agreement with Teamster’s Union Local 449. The union has rescinded the strike order. The contract tentative agreement is being finalized over the next few days.
Earlier in the week, Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown encouraged representatives from the union and AMR Western New York to finalize the agreement to avoid a strike by union members.
AMR Buffalo EMS teams have continued to work throughout the negotiation process while comprehensive contingency plans were put in place to ensure that there would be no service disruptions.
