The American Medical Response (AMR) NextFleet operation completed its 100th ambulance remount earlier this month. Since its opening in November 2017, NextFleet has hired more than 60 full-time employees to handle specialty vehicle manufacturing to support and update the technology and safety standards of our national fleet of Type I and Type III ambulances.
In late 2017, AMR chose the Mineral Wells location after an exhaustive search in multiple states for an appropriate facility with strong local talent. While there were several options to choose from, the efforts of the Mineral Wells City Council and Chamber as well as its citizens helped make this an easy decision for AMR. Over the past two years, the city and staff have been an excellent partner for AMR NextFleet and we look forward to continued growth in the years to come.
