The company received a four-year contract extension on July 20.

Kurtz Ambulance Service, part of American Medical Response (AMR), is proud to announce a four-year contract extension with the Village of Tinley Park. John Begesha, Operations Manager for Kurtz Ambulance, said the company began providing 911 service to the residents in 2014.

“This contract extension was approved and voted on at the Village of Tinley Park board meeting on July 20, and took effect on August 1,” Begesha said. “We’re excited to continue our great working relationship with the Village of Tinley Park, the Tinley Park Fire Department and our partners in care.”

Michael Glotz, Mayor of Tinley Park, said the village is proud to continue its long relationship with Kurtz Ambulance. “In these uncertain times, it is great to have a local partner with the national strength of AMR and GMR,” he said. “Kurtz assisted the Cook County Department of Health and the National Guard for Illinois’ first mass vaccination site, which was held at the Tinley Park Convention Center. The board and I are glad to continue our strong partnership with Kurtz Ambulance and provide vital EMS services for our residents.”

Kurtz Ambulance Service averages 6,500 responses and 4,000 transports a year. The company has five Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulances, and each ambulance is staffed by a two fully licensed Paramedics.

“We have two ambulances at Station 46, and one each at Stations 47, 48 and 49,” Begesha said. “We are proud to work alongside these dedicated and brave firefighters each day. We’ve been a part of the Village of Tinley Park for seven years, and we look forward to serving the residents for many years to come.”

Begesha added that part of the company’s success is due in part to its ability to recruit, educate, and retain only the most dedicated people to the communities it serves. Kurtz Ambulance Service is looking for Paramedics to join its team of dedicated caregivers.
