American Medical Response (AMR) has promoted Katerine McNulty to Regional Director for Sonoma Life Support and REDCOM Dispatch. In this role, she will be responsible for the operational oversight of Sonoma Life Support’s ground ambulance services and the Sonoma County REDCOM dispatch center.
“In my role as Executive Director for REDCOM, I was part of a team that provided high-quality patient care to our community over the phone,” said McNulty. “Now I look forward to the opportunity to lead an even larger team of both dispatchers and clinicians in providing that same level of high-quality patient car-e and service.”
McNulty brings more than two decades of EMS experience to her new role. She began her career with AMR as a dispatcher in 2002 and has since served as a training officer, supervisor, operations manager and executive director. She helped lead the dispatch teams of REDCOM through several large-scale natural disaster events, including the 2017, 2019 and 2020 Sonoma County wildfires. In 2019, McNulty was recognized as Dispatcher of the Year by the International Academy of Emergency Dispatch.
“KT was selected for this role because of her proven leadership abilities and strong working relationships with local community healthcare leaders,” said Dean Anderson, Senior Regional Director for AMR. “We have every confidence that KT will do an outstanding job at leading our Sonoma Life Support and REDCOM teams into the future.”
McNulty is the current president of Save Lives Sonoma and serves on several other EMS and public safety advisory boards and committees including: the Emergency Medical Care Committee, the Medical Advisory Committee, the EMS Aircraft Committee, Sonoma County CQI, Sonoma County Alert and Warning, Sonoma County Fire Chiefs Association, Health Care Coalition, Dispatch Oversight and Advisory Group, the Sonoma County Public Safety Consortium and the Sonoma County Training Officers and Operation Group. McNulty also serves as a volunteer for Sonoma County Chaplaincy.
