Insights into our Integration Progress

We are continuing to make significant progress in our integration efforts and I want to share some of the highlights with you.

On the technology front, we completed our first national implementation when we rolled out our procurement software, Verian, to all Rural/Metro markets in March. We are also pushing forward at the local level. Northern California, Colorado, Kentucky, Pacific San Diego and San Diego IFT are all live on our ePCR system, MEDS. We also plan to implement MEDS in three more markets later this month. I want to thank our integration teams and markets for the tremendous effort and support!

Vehicle rebranding is also an important aspect of the integration. We have completed the inventory of all Rural/Metro vehicles by market and documented the current brand, color scheme, age and miles for each vehicle. We are using this information to guide the vendor selection and bidding process. We hope to begin rebranding vehicles in the coming months beginning with Colorado, Ohio, Northern California, Pacific NW and Syracuse.

I know that all of this change is not easy, so I’m proud of the progress we have made to bring together our people. I’ve asked Tom Maxian, the Regional Director of Pacific NW, to share his experience and insights from the integration. Please click on the video below to hear how the Pacific NW used the integration as an opportunity to engage both AMR and Rural/Metro employees to develop a common culture and become one organization.
