Results from the Integration Communications Survey

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback through the integration communication survey. More than 2,000 Rural Metro and AMR employees across the nation responded. We have spent the last few weeks analyzing the results and reading through your comments. Your feedback and insights will shape our communications efforts moving forward.

As you’ll see, we have made tremendous progress over the past eight months. In market-after-market, we have utilized the expertise of both companies and the dedication of all our team members to provide outstanding customer service and compassionate, high-quality patient care. We have implemented new technologies and transitioned important back office functions that have allowed us to operate more efficiently and effectively. And most importantly, we have come together and embraced a unified vision of who we are and where we are headed. There is still much work to be done to bring our companies together, but I feel very good about where we are now and what we can accomplish together in the future.

The Results

Overall, the majority of you believe that the integration is going well and our communications have been effective in providing important information about the integration. I agree with you – this is a complex integration and we are progressing through the process as planned.

You also identified a few topics that you want to hear more about:

  • Where we are with the integration and what’s coming next?
  • What does the leadership structure of AMR look like?

I’d like to address these topics within this newsletter.

Integration Roadmap

The integration is on track and projected for completion before the end of 2017.

Regional Leadership Structure

AMR is made up of three geographic regions: East, South and West. We have incorporated Rural Metro markets into the three regions. In addition to 911, IFT and Fire services, AMR also provides air ambulance and managed transportation services. A map of the states in each region and AMR’s leadership team is available here.
