Reaching Our Integration Milestones

It has been a very busy couple of months as we prepare to close out 2016 and welcome 2017. When we started our integration efforts last year, there were a number of important objectives that we targeted for completion this year. I am happy to report that we have reached a number of these important milestones and that several more will be completed by the end of 2016.

As I have said previously, there have been some unanticipated bumps in the road. But we are on track and where we need to be to complete the process of joining our companies together.

Integration Milestones

Telestaff/Kronos: The transition to Telestaff and Kronos is complete. All Rural Metro and AMR locations are now using the same scheduling and timekeeping applications.

MEDS: The transition is complete and AMR’s ePCR is now in use throughout the company. We are already starting to see its impact on patient care in a number of Rural Metro locations.

Certification Verification: The newly revised certification verification process was successfully rolled out to all Rural Metro locations. The new protocol will be implemented at AMR locations in the coming months.

Rebranding: The move from the Rural Metro brand to the AMR brand continues. Uniforms are now being delivered, rigs are being wrapped in AMR colors and signage is being switched out at Rural Metro locations. We are not done yet, but we are steadily moving forward

Coming Up Next

Open Enrollment: One of the most important aspects of bringing together Rural Metro and AMR is the transition to AMR benefits. Enrollment packets are in the mail and starting Oct. 31; all eligible employees will have the opportunity to participate in AMR’s 2017 Health and Wellness Benefits Plan. Please note that some locations are not moving to AMR health and wellness benefits due to contract restrictions.

Payroll Transition: Starting in December, AMR’s parent company, Envision Healthcare, will begin to process payroll for all Rural Metro locations. More information about the transition will be coming in November.

Billing: The transition to the AMR billing process and systems is well underway, and we anticipate completion early in 2017.

Thank you

October 28 marks the one-year anniversary of our merger. Thank you for your support and encouragement. We have more important milestones to meet, but the end is within sight and we have a clear view of the road ahead.
