Update on the AMR & Rural/Metro Integration

As promised in the initial Rural/Metro Integration Planning Newsletter, we are committed to keeping you informed of integration milestones. On October 1, 2015, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) terminated its review and we can proceed with the acquisition from an FTC perspective. Consent is still needed from other governmental organizations. We expect the transaction to close by the end of the year.

This is a significant milestone in the integration process, but there is still a lot of work to be done to close the transaction and integrate the two complex organizations. The integration planning team will continue to assess the information available from both organizations, define the future operating model and prepare for a smooth integration. Until the transaction closes, it will continue to be business as usual with AMR and Rural/Metro operating as separate companies – including being competitors.
