AMR Welcomes Rural/Metro to the Family!

Let me be the first of many to welcome our Rural/Metro colleagues to the AMR family!

The AMR acquisition of Rural/Metro is officially closed and we are now one. This is a historic day as we become a combined organization with more than 25,000 employees caring for patients more than 4.4 million times a year across the U.S and globally through Global Medical Response (GMR). We are better together and our future is bright!

Our integration has truly just begun. It will take many months, and possibly years, to fully integrate all of our systems and processes. The timing of integration changes will vary greatly, but I promise that each change will be carefully considered and clearly communicated to those affected.

You will be receiving a lot of information over the coming days and months about the integration process. Our intention is to minimize disruptions to your daily activities as much as possible and our top priority is to ensure that current operations continue to run smoothly and you are able to focus on providing excellent service and care to our communities.

Over the coming weeks, the AMR leadership team and I plan to visit many of the Rural/Metro locations to personally welcome the teams in the field to AMR. We have also updated our FAQ document and it can be found on the AMR and Rural/Metro portals. We also prepared a video where AMR’s Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Ed Racht, and I address everyone in the new organization and share a little about the opportunities ahead.
