Abbott EMS in the St. Louis Community

Abbott EMS of St. Louis is the largest private ambulance service in the Midwest. As the face of AMR in this area, Abbott EMS provides both primary and backup emergency response to many area municipalities and fire services including the City of St. Louis. We are also the contracted ambulance service provider for the area’s largest hospital systems including both BJC and SSM systems as well as skilled nursing facilities throughout the area.

Our more than 90,000 annual transports also include those provided on standby for area events such as Race for the Cure, Great Forest Park Balloon Race, and the Rock and Roll and Go St. Louis Marathons. Also served with event standby services are venues such as Busch Stadium and sports clubs including the St. Louis Cardinals Baseball Club, St. Louis Blues Hockey Club, St. Louis Rams Football Club and the St. Louis Public Schools Football program.

Among the unique services Abbott EMS of St. Louis provides to the Metropolitan Area is the only special precautions ambulance, “wrapped and ready”, with trained staff available in the event of a need for special isolation precautions such as the 2015 Ebola crisis.
