AMR in the Collin County Community
AMR Collin County provides emergency and non-emergency medical transport service for Collin County. The operation was founded in 1992. AMR Collin County employs approximately 160 paramedics and EMTs and handles on average 80 ambulance transports and 28 wheelchair transports daily.
AMR Collin County also has a Critical Care Transport (CCT) Program, and is the only company to have a program accredited and associated with a university in the State of Texas. All of our CCT ambulances are specifically designed and equipped to function as mobile intensive care units for ICU/CCU patients requiring advanced airway adjuncts, advanced circulatory support, invasive pressure lines and/or IV infusion or other medications requiring constant monitoring.
Throughout Collin County, AMR provides multiple event medical standby coverage and first aid services. Some of these include partnerships with Lone Star Park, The Dallas Mavericks, The State Fair of Texas, and other mass-gathering events. In addition, we partner with local school districts to cover middle- and high school athletic events.
AMR has a partnership with our Integrated medical practice, Evolution Health, who specializes in the care and management of complex patients in the home and alternate settings. We have the ability to draw from our many resources, allowing us to provide the exact care needed at exactly the right time.
AMR Collin County offers CPR classes to contracted skilled nursing facilities and Medicaid/Medicare training to all contracted nursing facilities and hospitals in the local community. If you are interested in training, please contact the operation for more information.
