Car Seat Inspections
If you already have a car seat and would like it inspected by a certified child passenger safety technician (CPST), we are here to help. During your appointment, we will review your car seat installation, check for proper fit, answer questions and provide hands-on education to help ensure your child is traveling safely.
- Car seat inspections are provided FREE of charge.
Important Appointment Information:
- Our car seat inspections are designed to educate and empower parents and guardians. They are not an "install-and-go" service. To help ensure your child travels safely, a parent or guardian is REQUIRED to participate in the inspection, including both the educational discussion and the hands-on installation process. This approach helps caregivers gain the knowledge and confidence needed to properly use and install their child's car seat.
- Your child must be present during the appointment, unless you are currently expecting or your child remains in the hospital.
- Each appointment is approximately one hour long and is designed to accommodate one child, one car seat and one vehicle at a time.
- Please review all tabs below BEFORE scheduling your appointment.
If you need assistance with more than one car seat and/or vehicle, please schedule a separate appointment for each car seat or vehicle.

- Car seat manual
- If you no longer have the car seat manual, please locate a copy online before your appointment.
- Any accessories that came with the car seat
- Infant inserts, harness covers, etc.
Please refer to your confirmation email for specific parking and location instructions.
If you do not receive a confirmation email after scheduling your appointment, please check your spam or junk folder and verify that your email provider has not blocked messages from us.
If you still have not received a confirmation email after 24 hours, please text the Car Seat Line at 971.409.5758. You may also receive a follow-up email or text message directly from your child passenger safety technician (CPST) regarding your appointment confirmation.
If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, your appointment will be canceled and you will be asked to reschedule for a later date unless you have notified your technician in advance.

Furthermore, I understand that the actions taken in this program will not guarantee my child’s safety in a motor vehicle crash. I understand that it is important to read and follow the instruction manuals for both the vehicle and the car seat. For these reasons, I hereby release any program participants and any participating organizations or individuals, including the site owner, from any present or future liability for any injuries or damages that may result from a vehicle collision or otherwise.
